What is Yoga...

In the sacred ancient language of Sanskrit Yoga means 'Union'.
Many of us today have heard about Yoga, but few have had the privilege to discover the true meaning behind the word 'Union'.
Our aim is to share the gentle teachings of this age-old wisdom in its purest and most traditional form.

"The world crisis is but a reflection of the chaotic state of the collective consciousness. The most positive action we can perform to contribute to the momentous task of bringing our planet back into balance is to start changing ourselves...The truth can be experienced by all, it is our birth-right" Swami Vishnu-devananda

"Yoga leads from ignorance to wisdom, from weakness to strength, from disharmony to harmony, from hatred to love, from want to fullness, from limitation to infinitude, from diversity to unity, from imperfection, to perfection. Yoga gives hope to the sad, strength to the weak, health to the sick and wisdom to (the seeker)" Swami Sivananda

What is Ayurveda...

The literal translation of the Sanskrit word 'Ayur-veda' is 'Life-knowledge'.
In simple words, the science of Ayurveda is a 'manual' to a long, young and healthy life.
One of humanity's oldest forms of medicine, Ayurveda is believed to be the Mother of Chinese, Greek and modern medicine.
Ayurveda is the sister science of Yoga incorporating modern developments with ancient Indian wisdom.
The insight of this traditional medicine offers the key to understanding and treating each person's unique body requirements with tailor made therapies.
It is a holistic medicine that focuses on prevention as part of our lifestyles.

"The knowledge contained in Ayurveda deals with the nature, scope and purpose of life, and includes its metaphysical and physical aspects - health and disease, happiness and sorrow, pain and pleasure. Ayurveda defines life as the conjunction of body, mind and spirit found in Cosmic Consciousness and embracing all of Creation." Vasant Lad, M.A.Sc.
